I tried this all natural pop today, it was pretty good. So the next time you know I’m coming over, the least you could do is head down to the store and pick me a up a six pack.

Tuesday, April 27th, 2010

Friesland is a northern province of the Netherlands. Here is the Friesland flag — which might be my new favorite flag of the world. They also have their own distinct language from the rest of the Netherlands, Frisian, and here is Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah being sung in it.

Wolfram Tones

Saturday, April 10th, 2010

From the math jerks at Wolfram, here’s WolframTones. It’s pretty neat — you choose a music genre and it creates a unique song based on it. Here’s my best work. The music it outputs is hardly that impressive, but for being a piece of software, it’s really interesting. Too bad they implemented it using midi.

Thursday, April 8th, 2010

Ah, the internet greatness that is Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog comes again. This time it’s a stylized, 8-bit, NES-like YouTube and website. So far, only Act One is up, but I’m sure more are coming. Until then, you all will just have to get your Neil Patrick Harris fix some other way.

Worf in space, reading Yachts

Tuesday, April 6th, 2010

Tim Allen in Arbor Daze

Monday, April 5th, 2010

The trailer for Tim Allen’s new movie, Arbor Daze… kinda. This is the kind of self deprivation that gives me more respect for Mr Allen. However, still no respect for this guy.

How to draw Peter Griffin

Sunday, April 4th, 2010

And now, for no reason, here’s a step by step guide for drawing Peter Griffin. While American Dad alien, Roger, is clearly Seth MacFarlane best cartoon character, Peter Griffin still isn’t all that bad. Next time, step by step Step by Step.

Early vocoder

Saturday, April 3rd, 2010

An ancestor of the more popular vocoders of the past four decades. If only our culture could keep up with its technological advances.
